We need in-kind goods of new, like new and gently used items such as:
We need toys for all ages in great condition or new. Please make sure all parts and pieces are included. The items below are the items that we are the very lowest on but we take all toy items year round
Toys for Girls
Crafts or play things for girls ages 8 and up are always more in demand since items come in for younger children more often.
Toys for Boys
Crafts or science kits, legos or educational toys, especially for boys age 7 and up are always welcome.
Any items that teen might like to play with are welcome; also items for their dresser tops or desks, toiletries and jewelry.
Items not needed can be sold at the Fostering Hope Bargain Resale Shop(open to the public) to help support our program costs for 3600 to 4000 children each year.
Donations can be brought to the Mansell place distribution center any Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 3. Donations for the resale shop should also be brought to the Mansell Place location and will be transported to the resale shop from the FCSF center if it is not used for the children.
If you have large furniture and need to arrange a pick up for the resale shop, text us a picture of the items to 770-310-2919 and we will contact someone that may be able to help with pick up. Smaller items too large for a van or trunk can be brought to the FCSF center on Mansell Place Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
Your donated funds make it possible to continue to help the children through the distribution center. We give out over $12 million of in-kind items to foster and displaced children each year and our budget is a fraction of that.
You can help us raise the budget that we need to make sure the children do not go without necessary basic care needs.
You can help us by remembering us in your monthly giving, endowments or special honoring or memorial giving. A tax deductible receipt will be sent to you for your donation.
For in-memorials or honorary donations, a receipt and thank you will be sent to you and a thank you announcement of your thoughtfulness will be sent to the family honored.
We support all corporate matching gift programs. Please check with your employer to see if your company matches charitable donations or volunteer hours. It’s an easy way to double the impact of your donated funds or time.
There are many things that in-kind donations cannot do, such as payment for our facility and regular staff to lead our 5000 annual volunteers that help us serve an average of 3000 children each year.

If you live in Georgia and you want to help, call your DFCS office and tell them you want to attend the next information session about becoming a foster parent for your county DFCS.
It will change your life and will help change our system because of the support you can give a child.
If you live in Fulton County, ask your church or employer to join the Georgia Care Partnership of recruitment of foster and adoptive homes for the county. It will only benefit how and who we serve. As a community, we can make the difference.
Email: GCP@fostercares.org to find out how to be a foster, respite, or adoptive parent for your County and State.
